Planetarium

Programs in the planetarium use a mixture of audio and visual technologies to provide information or to tell a story on the screen. In addition to the star projector, visual elements of the program can be shown by video projectors, slide projectors and special effect projectors. Sources for moving images include laserdiscs, DVDs, videotapes, and computer animations. Slides or computer files are used to make images. Special effects come from dedicated projectors and video sources. The program's sound can come from digital audio tapes, cassette tapes, CDs, DVDs or laserdiscs.

The KVM weather station console is inside the planetarium control room.
