Public Missions

Mini-Missions

Individuals get a chance to try the Challenger Learning Center in a 45-minute session in the Space Station Simulator. The scenario changes throughout the year, giving you opportunities to try different stations and missions. Mission scenarios are Mars, Encounter Earth, and Rendezvous with a Comet and are offered at special times during Winter and Spring breaks and Summer Hands-on Happenings.

  • $3.00 per person ages 6 and up. Each child ages 6 to 11 must be accompanied by a partner 12 years or older.
  • Ticket Purchases - Advance purchase of tickets for fee-based events can be made in person at the Museum or by phone with a credit/debit card. Call 269/373-7990 or 800/772-3370. No refunds will be made on advance tickets

Junior Missions

This program is based on the Mini-mission format, but with pre-flight hands-on activities. The 90-minute mission is for children ages 8, 9, and 10. Great for scout groups!

  • Reservations required
  • 8-14 participants
  • $10.00 per person (Ages 8 - 10 or grades 3 - 5) no chaperones required.

Full Missions

This program includes one hour of pre-flight activities and orientation, and a two-hour full mission. Successful crews will receive a certificate and mission memorabilia. Scenarios offered: Mars, Encounter Earth, or Rendezvous with a Comet.

Corporate Missions

The Corporate Mission uses experienced CLC staff and state-of-the-art equipment to build teamwork and leadership skills. With multiple hands-on activities that includes use of robotic arms, constructions and an excitement level that continues to grow throughout the experience, your employees will gain much more than other training programs provide. KVM's program is flexible and can be adapted to your company's needs. The minimum number of participants for the Corporate Training Mission is 15 and the maximum is 34.

Reservations are required at least two weeks before the mission date; cost is $25 per person.
